CHSI Trade Show 2016

Good evening everyone, hope you're having a great week. We returned from the trade show at the NEC yesterday & this is the first chance I've had to share a few photos of the Imagination Crafts' stand.

This is what we started with on Saturday morning.............

Under the direction of Lisa B the stand began to take shape............

It was almost 7pm on Saturday evening when we added the finishing touches. By then, we were all very tired, but also feeling rather chuffed with ourselves, because the stand looked amazing...........

For the entire three days of the trade show, we were inundated with compliments for how the stand looked. Retailers & fellow exhibitors were so generous with their praise, that we spent most of our time blushing furiously. ;-)

We would like to extend an enormous thank you to all the retailers who placed orders with us & also to thank & welcome our new European stockists - details of which will be added to our Facebook page in due course.

It was lovely to meet to many independent retailers, some of whom have recently opened shops, or are opening their shops very soon. We wish you all lots of luck in your new venture.

Thanks to the CHSI & NEC teams for all their help & here's to doing it all over again in 2017!

Very special thanks to Lisa B, who designed the stand so beautifully & to our designers for all their gorgeous samples.

Since returning home, we have been preparing for this Saturday's shows on Hochanda (at 11am, 2pm & 5pm) & also for next week's Hobbycrafts show at the SECC in Glasgow. This means that we won't be able to dispatch orders as quickly as we would like, but we will do our very best to supply our retailers with their products as soon as we can. We thank you all for your patience.

I hope to be back tomorrow with more information regarding Saturday's Hochanda programmes.

Drops of Starlights

Good morning, blog visitors! I hope you're having a great week. This is another scheduled post - very glad I did these last week, because it is VERY busy at Imagination HQ this week. We are trying to cram a week's work into two days, in preparation for the three shows on Hochanda on Saturday - more details about that tomorrow.

Today I'm showing you another of my cards, made with the new Starlights & I've got a quick step by step for you...........

The first steps were stamping the sentiment in the centre of a piece of white card, masking that off & blending a pale blue ink over the rest of the card, trying to get a slightly darker shade around the centre circle & the outside...........

The next step was Bright Fuchsia through the Droplets stencil, followed by foiling with

I painted the Art-Cutz flourishes with Green & Menthol Starlights & the flower with Sax Blue, Mediterranean Sky & Bright Fuchsia...............

The finished card again...........

Thank you for visiting the blog today. There will be another post with details of Saturday's Hochanda shows soon.

More Cards With New Starlights

Good morning, I'm back with another scheduled post. This is the last day of the trade show & tomorrow we begin preparing for Saturday's Hochanda shows. I have two more of the cards I made last week with the new Starlights paints. I kept the cards very simple, because I just wanted to see what the colours are like.

This is Bright Maroon through the Windy Tree stencil on  card painted with
Pebble Shore MDF paint. I added the dots of Sax Blue with an embossing tool..........

I tried to get an ombré effect for this background, using (from the bottom) Mint, Mediterranean Sky & Sax Blue through the Mosaic Crackle stencil. I applied Bright Fuchsia through the
Two Leaf stencil & cut out the leaves..............

Thanks for visiting the blog today. I'll be back in a day or two, with more cards & information about Saturday's Hochanda programmes.
