Not So Christmassy Christmas Cards

Hello, I'm back with three more Christmas projects. I had some leftover Starlights - Blue & Silver, mixed together - and it was enough for two cards & a gift tag.

I applied it through the Mosaic Sun stencil for the background & through the Two Leaf stencil for the focal images, adding Green Starlights for the stems...........

Starlights paints resist Distress Inks very nicely, so I used Ripe Persimmon & Picked Raspberry to add colour to the background..........

I used the Two Leaf stencil again for the second card...........

These weren't intended to be Christmas cards, but I needed a few extra ones, so decided these would work. I like using non-traditional images for Christmas cards.

Thanks for visiting the blog today, I hope to be back soon.

Owl Tealight Holder & Starlights

Hello blog visitors, Happy New Year. I hope you all had a great Christmas & 2016 is treating you well so far. Before we get too far away from Christmas, I wanted to share a couple of my Starlights projects with you.

I painted the Owl Tealight Holder with White Gold Starlights on the outside, Antique Gold on the owl & on the inside..........

I also added some dried Sparkle Medium, which I cut into tiny pieces to the owl.

I applied Black Stars Sparkle Medium through the Windy Tree stencil to the sides...........

Here's the holder with a candle inside (I used a battery operated candle)..........

And here it is in my front room........

I'm really pleased I was able to get this made in time for Christmas, it was a lovely addition to the other decorations.
