Just a Note

Good Morning Crafters

I hope you are all well and enjoying our tutorials.

Today it is my turn to share a tutorial with you.

The products I have used from Imagination Crafts are:

Black Satin Card (I used the white side)
Musical Note Stencil

I have also used Baby Oil too.

In an A4 plastic lid I add an inch of warm water and a couple of drops of baby oil.
I laid the satin card onto the water to absorb the oil and lifted it of and laid onto glass mat.

I then spritzed Inkadinks Mango, Cranberry Sorbet and Candy Floss over the wet card and left to dry

Once dry I inked around the edges with Adirondak Butterscotch and Raisin.
I mixed Cranberry Sorbet with Sparkle Gel then stencilled this through the musical note stencil and put this to one side.

On another piece of spritzed card I stamped the Lillies with Versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder twice, cut out the main image then the lillies.

To finish off I wrapped pink satin ribbon around the decorated back ground, matt and layered onto black pearlescent card.  Matt and layered the decoupaged lillies with silicone glue.
To finish off I added a bow, musical note charm with ribbon and 3 black gems.

The Inkadinks mix really well with the Sparkle Gel to create your own bespoke background.

Thank you for stopping by today

Poppy Time

Good Morning Crafters

Just to let you all know that our Sue will be on Create and Craft on Friday 25th July.
I will let you know the times of the shows as soon as we know.

Today's tutorial is by Jennifer, we hope you like the effects the mica powder gives this card.

Products used to make the Poppy Card

Gold and Black Satin Card
Mica Powders
Poppy Gilding Stamp Set
Kasbah Stencil

Make a base card from black satin card and onto this matt some gold satin card

Using Masking Tape mask off but leave the outer edges free

Lay stencil onto black card and secure with masking tape, dab Versamark through the stencil design with cut n dry foam around the edges only.

Remove Stencil and bursh on the mica powders

Brush off the excess powder

This is what it will look like after removing excess powder

Cut out a square aperture from the card with the border on it and fix to the base card

Colour another piece of black card with mica powder and stamp poppy image onto it with Versamark, which will lift off the powder and expose the design.

Die cut a square from this card

Die cut the larger frame from mica coloured card too and fix poppy image to it using foam pads.

Matt and layer onto gold and black card.

Here is the finished card. Don't the colours look beautiful together.

Thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Bird of Paradise

Good Morning Crafters

We hope that you have all had a wonderful weekend, did you manage to get any crafting done?

Today we have a new tutorial from another of our talented design team.

Cheremane has used The Bird of Paradise stamp to create this beautiful tutorial.

Imagination Crafts Products

Bird of Paradise Gilding Stamp Set
Swirly Leaf Stencil
Magi-Glaze

Distress a piece of 6 x 6 white card with Distress Ink Bundle Sage

Randomly place the stencil on your cardstock and use Mowed Lawn and Forest Moss Distress Ink through the stencil with a brush or sponge.

Using one of the stamps from the Bird of Paradise set and Bundled Sage randomly stamp over the cardstock

Stamp the Bird of Paradise with Peacock Feather Distress Ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder to add texture.

Distress around the card stock with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to complement the Bird of Paradise

Repeat the stamping technique onto a blank  7 x 7 card then matt and layer with black card

Using your Magi-Glaze highlight some of the leaves to add shine and texture.

Once you have completed the step by step you should have a completed project.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and we hope to see again soon.
