Kath's Tutorial

Good Evening Crafters,

Tonight we would like to share with you the tutorial Kath has made for our
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Peeps
Kath here
Each DTM is taking turns to share a demo/ tutorial
so this month your stuck with me ha ha
I decided to do a quick tut on maybe using your stamps differently.
We all get stuck in a rut with our products
but if you can use elements of your stamps it gives them a new lease of life ....
I even cut mine up !!!!
The acrylic ones fit perfectly back together for using whole again ..
or just ink up the portions you want to use ...
Any how here goes

Stuff I've used
IC bird of paradise stamp set
IC hearts and swirls stencil
IC Sparkle medium -bright red/chartreuse
Two 6x6 pieces of white card and a piece of acetate
Versamark - My Grubby one hee hee
Gold EP
Walnut Stain DI
Black Stazon
Coffee/Tea/Hobnobs optional hee hee
First I prepped my bits

I used the Bright Red SM through the stencil

And covered the heart with the same

Then stamped just the tail part of the bird onto acetate and cut them out,
I've used acetate then I can flip the flourish for matching wings

I cut the other 6x6 card into a frame shape
I then used just the net part of the stamp with Versamark (I cut it in half)
then embossed with the gold EP
I didn't match it up too well just to add to the grungyness
Then I added the mini flourish to the corners

I went round the edges with the DI
and added a bit of SM to the edges.

I drew around the heart shape and cut it out of acetate
which I then stamped with a sentiment
and covered the back with the SM
Once dry I mounted it and the 'wings' to the heart shape

Finally I layered it up using a bit of Pinflare...Ta Dah
I hope you enjoyed this quick tut

Thanks for looking
