Mini Birds

Hello Fellow Crafters, Friends and Visitors,

Jennifer here with another card which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in August 2010.   To make this card I used gilding flakes which gives a lovely effect, although on this card I have used it just to highlight parts of the birds and the leaves.

Put a piece of black card along with the stencil, through the Cuttlebug to emboss it, or use a light box and an embossing tool.

Remove stencil and card from the machine.   Leave the stencil on the black card and stipple gold pigment ink through the design on the stencil.   Remove the stencil and add some gilding flakes to each bird and some of the leaves, whilst the ink is still wet, leave to dry.

Using a circle punch, punch out a semi - circle from each corner of the black card.   Matt this onto some cream card, leaving a narrow border of cream card showing.

Add a brad to each corner of the cream card and matt this onto a square of orange card, with the edges trimmed with the trimmer and the wave blade.   Last of all, matt this onto a piece of black card which is larger than the orange card.

Well, that's all for now, I'll be back again soon with another card.

Look after yourselves
Thank you for taking the time to visit.
Hugs
Jennifer xxx
