Blog Hop Day 3

Well over in the studio http://tech-design-studio.blogspot.com/ the finishing touches have been posted but these are the 2 cards we finished off... Above is great to get you going and then below.....

Snow scene with a difference. This was made up from all the left overs for the projects, different stencils were used Country road and Birdsong , to be honest all of these Picture Stencils work really well together....and as you can turn over the stencils you can get different views all the time

We also have a gold Owl and there is snow on the branches of the tree as well as along the bottom of the fence ,( I used white fluffy stuff) yes it is called that ....and then painted Diamond Sparkle medium on top to give a sparkling snowy Look.....

Well that's it for this month's Blog hop and as i said on the studio Blog I would love to stay and play .....but Mr postman has brought me my Brand NEW Summer Decoupage Stamp sets today ....so ....gotta go play... check them out via the logo...

Thank you Sue and Harvey for letting me try this out.....i hope i'll be allowed to do this again ? As we will be away for most of the next 3 weeks SECC,Harrogate then NEC we will do another at the end of March fingers crossed ...hope you have enjoyed this ...I know i have..

Many thanks Happy Crafting

Blog Hop Day 3

well, how are we all today?...as promised another card sample below

This card , really looks like a window the Stencil Dusk till dawn was masked to use the owl and tree, as we have done this week onto the acetate, once dry attach this to a white frame to fit a 6x6 card allowing for a border, to give a little space in between the picture and the owl, put the whole frame onto 2 or 3mm foam tape ...at this point if your careful and close all corners this could easily make a shaker card...

Once you have your frame attached, punch out 4 strips of a border punch, miter the corners and then attach, matching the pattern. to finish wrap ribbons to match and added the gem stones to cover the mitered corners.....

This would also look great a a snow scene....Now then that's what we shall do tonight as well as run through all the finishing touches to all the samples shown , when we Blog Hop to the studio. for the craft-along http://tech-design-studio.blogspot.com/ later...

To see some more fantastic Stencils, and more Sparkle medium colours , Pop into the website and have a look around www.imaginationcrafts.co.uk or click the logo..

I'll be back later to post the samples again and maybe another card that we are completing tonight at the studio.,..see you soon Jayne x

Blog hop Day 2

Hi good evening to you all,

are we ready for the next card sample here?

This is a very simple version off an atetate overlay there is a bow in the acetate but only a small one, Again the same brayering Technique was used , The owl and the tree masked out, I used Black stars Sparkle medium with a spatula over the stencil onto the acetate, but this time I masked the owl too...and when the sparkle medium was almost dry put the gold owl on... masking off everywhere else...clever eh. well as you can see we would lose the owl in the trees if not. I do love the way these stencils work well together.

Part of this card will be the techniques used in the studio tonight when we Blog hop shortly to http://tech-design-studio.blogspot.com/ and do step 2.

ok lets go ...see you soon

Day 2 Blog Hop Craft-along

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2,

Below I've added another sample that can be achieved by using the same method, this is a wrap box card the owl and tree (Dusk till Dawn stencil) are directly onto the acetate using Sparkle medium Black stars, which is then used like a window frame. By the river (Stencil)has been stencilled with black silkies and used as the back picture, I used our value Stencil brushes, to apply the silkies over the stencil.they work really well with the Brayerd background...This would be a fantastic Men's card....so much dimension, and it lies flat for posting .....brill!!! .

Why not have look at the whole range of products we have here at www.imaginationcrafts.co.uk just click the logo or link to go shopping...

Ok..... I'm now going to prep up tonight's Craft-along, over at the studio http://tech-design-studio.blogspot.com . We will be going through Step 2, later tonight, but i will be back here first to add another Sample Card

see you soon Jayne x
