Tuesday Tutorial - Mixed Media Layers - Kirsten Sheridan

Good morning, Kirsten here with a quick tutorial post for one of the cards I made for the Imagination Crafts' shows on January 22. I used...........

Mixed Media Ink Sprays - Magenta, Sunshine Yellow, Orange
Mixed Media Art stencils (back in stock soon)
Starlights Metallic Paints - Diamond, White Gold, Black
White Gesso

I began by spraying the MM inks randomly onto a piece of white cardstock, then set it aside to dry. Once dry I began adding the Starlights through the various stencils, the first layer was Diamond...........

The second layer was White Gold..................

The third layer was Black Starlights...............

The final layer was white gesso........

I applied Black Starlights through the Lotus stencil & added a sentiment from my stash................

I used squares of white & black cardstock to matt & layer & mounted them on to a 7x7" white card blank...............

Tonight at 8pm GMT, Sue & Kerri-Ann will be on Hochanda, launching our new One Day Special - STARLIGHT WAXES!! We are really excited by these & we hope you are too. Sue & Kerri-Ann will be telling all about them & sharing lots of demos, so tune in for some great shows tonight at 8 & tomorrow at 9am, 12pm, 4pm & 7pm. There will be other new products, some old favourites & a special offer or two. If you've watched the shows before you'll know that items can sell out very quickly, so please don't delay checking out your basket if there's something you want.

Until next time, have a great week.

  1. Good Morning Kirsten. Your card is out of this world. The clarity of the colours blend so well and the black flowers stencil just gives your card that extra bit of pop. TFS. Hugs Rita xxx
