Starlights and Structure Paste - Margaret Brackenbury

Good morning from all at Imagination, here's a new blog post from DT member Margaret Brackenbury.........

Hello, Margaret here, I hope you all enjoyed watching Sue and Kerri-Ann on Hochanda during the new One Day Special shows yesterday, we're all so excited by the new Starlights Waxes!

I have been playing with Imagination Crafts Starlights paints and the fantastic new Structure Paste. I love mixing different mediums and here is a small canvas I did recently. Sorry there are no step by step photos to go with the instructions, I think they are fairly easy to follow..................

I used a 6"x 4" canvas hard board as my base and firstly mixed Structure Paste with Turquoise Starlight Paint, about 50/50 mix, mix well together and applied through the  Medium & Small Lotus stencil. I left the canvas to dry which did not take too long.

When it was dry I washed over the whole canvas with a mix of Turquoise Starlight Paint and water, quite a lot of water as I only wanted a hint of colour........

Next stage I used the mini text stamp from the new background stamp set, (available soon) and stamped around the edges randomly using more Turquoise Starlight Paint.

When stamping with Starlights remember to lightly spritz your stamp with water before applying the paint and wash the stamp immediately afterwards.

To finish I added Inca Gold Alchemy Wax around the edges and with a fine paint brush and added more to some of the petals and leaves.

I hope you have a go mixing our fabulous Imagination Crafts products, you never know what you can achieve until you have a go!!!!!

See you next time.

Margaret
